Tour Description

After breakfast, our guide will drive you to Guayaquil. On the way, we will visit El Cajas National Park, which is located 30 km west of the city of Cuenca. It consists of over 200 lagoons and has a surface of 28.544 hectares. It is a very important water resource for Cuenca and Ecuador. The National Park achieved the distinction of being on the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance in 2002, has been named an area of international importance for bird conservation by IBA (Important Bird and Biodiversity Area) in 2003 and a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The rivers and tributaries that originate here flow into the Pacific Ocean and the Amazon River. The Intercontinental Water Division is found in this area. We will visit the high part of the park at four meters above sea level, a walk of about 45 minutes, followed by a panoramic view of La Toreadora lagoon. You will pass through different types of weather from the Andes through the coastal region of Ecuador.

We will arrive at Hacienda La Danesa, which models hospitality with warmth and welcome. Hacienda La Danesa prides itself upon a meaningful exchange between the traveler and the host.
