Travel Itinerary

Day 1

Santiago (L)

Reception at Santiago’s airport and transfer to the hotel. You will enjoy a tour around Santiago, visiting the Central Market (Mercado Central) where you’ll have lunch. Later, visit the city’s most outstanding attractions, including a walking tour downtown visiting the “Plaza de Armas”, the Cathedral, Ahumada Boulevard and the Government Palace “La Moneda” (outside). Then, by vehicle, visit the main avenues of old Santiago, crossing the bohemian neighborhood of Bellavista and drive up San Cristobal Hill, for a magnificent panoramic view of the city and the Andes Mountain Range. After this, the tour will take you to the modern part of Santiago, including its chic neighborhoods, shopping and financial centers. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 2

Santiago – Colchagua Valley (B/L)

Morning departure towards Santa Cruz in the Colchagua Valley. Our first stop will be in the Montes Winery (or similar). With the help of their angels, they are known worldwide for their connection with the earth, their care for the vineyards and their experience in the winery. Your visit will be a great experience and an opportunity to discover, learn about, and enjoy the fascinating world of their wines. You will visit the vineyards and the cellar, ending with a wine tasting. Then, we will visit the Viu Manent Winery (or similar), where you will walk through its beautiful wine cellars. It is a winery of familiar tradition and colonial architecture where you will be able to ride a carriage, taste some wines and simply admire the Chilean countryside landscape. Here you will enjoy lunch. Then, transfer to the hotel and overnight.

Day 3

Colchagua Valley (B/L)

Today, visit the famous Lapostolle Winery (or similar) where you will visit the Clos Apalta cellar, which is without a doubt an extraordinary experience. Nestled in the hills, you will descend by six floors dedicated exclusively to the gravitational production of these iconic wines. The tour ends with a wine tasting in a magnificent scenery.

Then, we will visit the Santa Cruz Winery (or similar), where you will tour around the garden of varieties, to then continue to the harvest patio, the tanks, and wine cellar, where you will taste some wines. The visit in Santa Cruz also includes a tour riding a cable car for going up to the Chamán Hill, to see the indigenous villages (a replica of the Aymara, Mapuche and Rapanui culture). Lunch is included at the Santa Cruz Winery. Later on, you will visit the Colchagua Museum. The visit to this museum is a journey to the origins, starting from the beginning of life 400 million years ago, until the modern age of the 20th century. Transfer to the hotel and overnight.

Day 4

Colchagua Valley – Santiago (B/L)

Transfer back to Santiago. On the way, we will visit the Maipo Valley, famous for its red wines. In this valley, we will stop at a boutique winery that produces high-range wines: the Perez Cruz Winery, where you will have a tour through the vineyard and taste two of its wines. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. Then, continue towards Santiago and overnight.

Day 5

Santiago – Casablanca Valley – Rosario Valley (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Head towards the coast to the Casablanca Valley, famous for its white wine production. We will stop at the Veramonte Winery (or similar) to tour around its vineyards, winery and barrel room. The tour ends with a tasting of three wines. Continuation to the Rosario Valley, towards the Matetic Winery, where its wines are elaborated under a biodynamic philosophy with 100% organic grapes. “La Casona” of the Matetic Vineyard is a boutique hotel located in a typical 1900s colonial construction in the Chilean countryside. You will be welcomed with a cocktail in the living room of La Casona, and then enjoy dinner with half a bottle of red or white Corralillo wine. Overnight at La Casona Matetic.

Day 6

Rosario Valley (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today you will tour the wine cellar of the Matetic Winery and taste four ultra-premium wines from the EQ line. Later on, enjoy a four-course lunch menu with wine pairing. In the afternoon, you can choose from an outdoor guided excursion between horseback riding, cycling, trekking or a scenic tour in van. Finally, dinner menu is included with half a bottle of red or white Corralillo wine.

Day 7

Rosario Valley – Casablanca Valley – Santiago (B/L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, enjoy another outdoor guided excursion (horseback riding, cycling, trekking or scenic tour in van). Then, lunch menu served with Corralillo wines.

In the afternoon, transfer back to Santiago with a stop at the Casablanca Valley to visit the Viñamar Winery. Here you will take a guided tour of the facilities and finish with a wine tasting.

Transfer to the hotel in Santiago and overnight.

Day 8

Santiago (B)

Breakfast at the hotel.

At the agreed time, transfer to the airport to board your onward flight.

  • Transfers and excursions are in private service with English-speaking guide assistance, except wine tours at the wineries, which operate in shared service (SIB) with bilingual guide.
  • Lodging on the mentioned hotels (or similar) in standard room or as indicated in the quotation, breakfast included.

  • 19% Tax on lodging in Chile. All foreigner non-residents in Chile are tax exempt. Just in case of no-show the hotels will collect the room rate plus 19% tax.

  • Rates are subject to confirmation during long weekends, Easter, National Holidays, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc.
  • In Santiago, during high season (fairs and congresses), especially in March, April, October and November, rates are subject to confirmation.
  • Itinerary could be changed according to flight schedules, climate conditions, or in order to provide a better service.
  • All excursions, especially navigations, are subject to weather conditions
  • Museums are closed on Mondays.
  • La Casona Matetic will remain closed for Christmas from the midday on December 24th until the morning of December 26th.
  • Some wineries are closed during long weekends, National Holidays, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc.
