Travel Itinerary

Day 1
Upon arrival in Cape Town, transfer to your hotel (this transfer is not included in your cost).
Day 2

No visit to Cape Town is complete without a half day tour of the mother city itself. After departing the hotel after breakfast, we head for Table Mountain. Enjoy the crisp air and clear visibility as you reach the summit (weather permitting, cable car ticket not included). Our guide will point out the highlights of one of the world’s most famous views. After the descent, enjoy a scenic coastal drive through Clifton and Sea Point to the city center to Green Market Square. We stretch our legs with a walk through the Company Gardens. The tour continues with a drive past the Houses of Parliament, the City Hall, The Castle and Slave Lodge, before entering the "Bo Kaap", also known as the Malay Quarter. The architecture in this area is typical of what Cape Town was like 200 years ago. We ascend Signal Hill to witness the firing of the noon gun (except Sundays and public holidays). You will be dazzled by the diamond tour where we learn about the history of these sparkling gems before returning you back to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you will take the ferry for a tour of Robben Island, which takes about 3.5 hours. After your tour, return to your hotel for overnight. Dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel or at one of the many restaurants located on the V&A Waterfront.

Day 3
You will be picked up from your hotel at after breakfast for your full day Cape Point Tour. Our journey to Cape Point takes us along the scenic Atlantic seaboard coastal road. We pass the pristine beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay with their soft white sand and azure blue water. The formidable 12 Apostles Peaks rise above the road on one side, while sheer cliffs and incredible rock formations drop into the icy Atlantic Ocean on the other side. There is no doubt that the coast of the Cape peninsula offers magnificent scenery with its great biodiversity. We arrive at the quaint fishing village of Hout Bay with its imposing Sentinel. Visit Seal Island (not included in cost) or shop for souvenirs at the craft market at the harbor. Our tour continues over Chapman’s Peak which offers amazing photo opportunities, and onto the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. This area is home to magnificent ‘fynbos’, many different species of buck and birds, the Cape Mountain Zebra, and mischievous baboons. These creatures entertain guests enjoying lunch at the restaurant, which has splendid views of False Bay. Take the funicular (not included) to the lighthouse to see the meeting of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans at the Cape Point. We visit Boulders Beach to see the Jackass penguins (not included) before arriving at the naval base of Simonstown. We venture inland to our last stop of the day at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. With the sun setting over the tall peaks of Table Mountain, the last rays sparkle on the trees and flowers, and offer a fitting end to a day filled with all the Cape has to offer.

Day 4

You will transfer to the Cape Town Airport (transfer not included in cost) and check in for your flight to Skukuza. Upon arrival at the Skukuza Airport, you will be met by your game ranger from Imbali Safari Lodge and transferred to the Imbali Safari Lodge, within the Kruger National Park. Enjoy your first game drive that afternoon. Game drives will be done on the private concession as well as the Kruger National Park.

Each of the full days in the Kruger Park will include: All meals and two daily game drives in open Land Rover vehicles with your skilled ranger and tracker to find the animals of Africa for you to admire. This is Big 5 Country…..Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo, all of which are possible to see during your stay at this private game reserve. Each morning, expect an early wake-up call and gather for refreshments before heading out at first light. The “big cats” may still be around after their night of hunting. During the day, there is ample free time to relax. In the afternoon, convene for high tea, before departing for the day’s second African Bush Safari. Enjoy a sundowner drink along the way, get out of the vehicle to stretch your legs, and watch the sun set. As darkness descends, it’s time to continue the Game Drive to let the tracker scan the landscape with a spotlight, picking out the glinting eyes of nocturnal animals. Return to the lodge for dinner.
