Travel Itinerary

Day 1

Depart on your charter flight to Cuba. Arrive at Havana International airport, and meet your English-speaking tour guide. Transfer from the airport to your hotel.

In the evening, visit La Cabana, the fortress of Havana, overlooking the bay and port, which offers a magnificent view of Havana by night. In a small shop at the fortress, the longest hand-rolled cigar in the world is exhibited, and Cueto, its producer, holds a record in the Guinness Book of world records. You will enjoy dinner at San Cristobal Private Restaurant.

You will attend the traditional ceremony of the "Canonazo," led by a march of the guards in traditional costumes and followed by a cannon shot, fired every night at 9:00 p.m.

You will return to your hotel, and for the more adventurous, there is still enough time to explore the nightlife of Havana.

Day 2

In the morning, you will visit Old Havana and its famous buildings and architecture. Next, you will visit the oldest cigar factory in Havana, the "Real Fabrica de Tabacos Partagas," where you will observe the process of transforming selected tobacco leaves into a handmade, world class cigar.

Next, you will tour the Havana Club Rum Museum, located in Old Havana. This museum offers an up close look into the rum making process and a taste of Cuban culture. A few blocks from the Rum Museum is the cafe El Escorial, where coffee beans are brought to be ground and toasted. The locals purchase the fresh packaged coffee to drink at home. Time to taste some genuine Cuban coffee!

After lunch at Mercaderes Restaurant, you will see the sights in classic cars of the 1950's; the Fortress La Cabana, along the promenade of the Malecon waterfront, through the Diplomats Quarter of Miramar, the yacht harbor, Marina Hemingway, through a prestigious district with grand villas and the famous Necropolis cemetery.

Dinner will be at La Guarida Private Restaurant.

Day 3

You will take an excursion to the tobacco province of Pinar del Rio, where the most famous Cuban tobacco is grown. You will visit a tobacco plantation and meet with the farmer. Lunch will be at a charming restaurant with tastings of local, freshly rolled cigars.

You will visit the Vinales Valley, one of the most impressive landscapes of Cuba, followed by a visit to the "Casa de Seleccion" where tobacco leaves are being sorted and ripened until they are transported to a tobacco manufacturer.

Lunch will be in a restaurant nestled close to a mountain cliff in the valley. In the afternoon, visit the "Cueva del Indio," a cave system with a small stream, on which boats will carry you through the cave and back to the outside into the valley. Visit the small rural village of Vinales, where it seems that time stopped sometime during the 19th century.

Return to Havana.

Day 4

You will visit the "Casa del Tabaco" and have lunch at the onsite restaurant El Ranchon, well known for its delicious Cuban cuisine. A stylish and well-stocked tobacco shop offers a great opportunity to purchase the (in some cases) hard to find brands.

You will enjoy a fine dinner at Casa Abel, a restaurant cigar bar, and in the evening, we will visit the most famous Cabaret - the Tropicana, known as "Paradise under the Stars."

Day 5

After your last breakfast at the hotel, your driver and guide will transfer you to Havana Airport, where you will board your flight back to Miami.
