Travel Itinerary

Day 1

Upon your arrival at the International Airport of Ezeiza, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2

Today we will take a city tour of Buenos Aires, viewing its different districts, communities and architectural styles. You will have the afternoon free for shopping around the city.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will take a half day tour to visit the coastal town of Tigre and the Paraná Delta. We will visit the residential slums of the north area of the city, passing by the presidential residence in the Olivos district. There we will board the Train of the Coast, which will travel along the coast of the de la Plata River with its attractive ravines. Once in the Tigre area, we will board a catamaran to enjoy a relaxing trip with a wonderful view of the Paraná Delta, an area of subtropical rainforest made of a thousand islands and islets. Return to the city center.

Day 4

Enjoy the day at leisure. You may want to go shopping in the city and have dinner at a Tango house.

Day 5

In the morning, you will transfer to the pier to take a fast ferry to Colonia del Sacramento (a one hour trip).

At the pier, you will meet with the guide for a city tour. This Old Portuguese City from the XVII century has been declared Patrimony of Mankind by UNESCO for its architecture. This will be a memorable full day tour of Colonia del Sacramento. You will be able to walk along the stone streets, the old buildings, old forts and Spanish and Portuguese Museums. We will visit the Port, downtown, the Ferrando Beach and the Trees Reserve, the lovely “Rambla” that stretches along the coast up to the famous Real de San Carlos where we will be able to see the “Plaza de Toros”, the "Hippodrome" and old harbor.

After the tour, you will have free time for lunch (not included). Return by bus to Montevideo (a 3.5 hour trip).

Day 6

Today enjoy of a half day city tour of Montevideo. This three hour tour will feature the most important tourist spots of Montevideo and also some of the most “characteristic” places in town that will give visitors the feeling of the Uruguayan life and culture. You will be able to walk around the "Old City" and enjoy the European architecture of the buildings, visit the Gaucho Museum, the colorful street markets (depending on the day – street markets are available to visit on Saturdays and Sundays). The tour includes the classical visit to the traditional Port Market, where you may see some “Candombe” performances and visit the famous art galleries if desired. After visiting the different craft shops of the area, you will visit the residential neighborhood of Carrasco, Punta Gorda and Pocitos and the lovely “Rambla” along the coastline of the city.This city tour can be adjusted to your personal interests.

Day 7

You will transfer to the pier to take a fast ferry back to Buenos Aires, and then transfer from the local pier to the domestic airport for a flight to Iguazú. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 8

After breakfast you will be picked up for a full day Argentinean falls tour, viewing the waterfalls from the Argentine side. After entering the National Park Iguazú, we will take a walk along the lowest part of the waterfalls, and will later visit the upper part and the footbridges.

Day 9

Today we will take a half-day tour to admire the waterfalls from the Brazilian side. After the tour transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 10

Today we will have a half-day Corcovado tour. Depart from the hotel to visit the Christ Statue, recently selected as one of the seven modern wonders of the world. The statue sits 2,300 feet above sea level, atop Corcovado Hill. Following a scenic drive along the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, we will arrive at the foot of the hill, where we embark on a small train which climbs the beautiful mountainside. Upon reaching the top, you will experience a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is known as the “Marvelous City”!

Day 11

Enjoy the day at your leisure to explore the beautiful beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema.

Day 13

Transfer to the International Airport for your flight home.
